Kathi - I like your post for today. Joy - top of the emotional tone scale. I think it's vital that we know what gets us there.

Kathi,

Your post was uplifting and fun to read! I didn't know that your daughter is such an entertainer, very cool. I'm glad so many aspects of your life to bring you joy. Getting to know you has definitely added joy to my life!

Kathi- It is early Sunday morning, I've taken my walk (in the dark...can I borrow a headlamp?) and I just cruised through the blogs of people we both care about. I read Kim's and your "born again" comments. I SO agree. I often play "transformers" with Jacob (Amy's son) who is five, and we talk about how REAL change happens...most often from the inside out! For me, getting to that "new self" takes MUCH hard work, soul-searching , dedication, persistence, and MORE hard work!
Yet the reason I'm writing this post is not only to thank you for THIS insight, but to also thank you for the in-depth comments you make on so many people's blogs! The thought, care, and learnings you share- your personal insights- really are thought-provoking for me! Today, as I sit in our African-American, small, uplifting, soul-searching, two hour church service with a rocking gospel choir...I'll carry the question with me.."How am I meant to be be transformed?"
I feel blessed to know you! Love, Linda
